March 2025
Parking Forum
On Tue., March 25, we will host a parking forum from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the ELC Forum. The goal of the forum is to bring employees and students together to discuss potential solutions in a healthy and holistic manner. We will start the forum by sharing some parking data and possible changes under consideration for the 2025-2026 academic year. We will then pivot to a solution-focused discussion where concerns and possible solutions can be voiced. Over the years, Bucknell has conducted parking surveys and studies, reviewed the possibility of adding parking arms to employee lots and implemented zone parking. We understand that the frustration around parking remains high, and we acknowledge that there are no quick fixes. We are committed to continuing our efforts to improve the situation, and hope we can have a robust discussion on what realistic improvements the community would like to see.
In an effort to make parking easier, we are also partnering with ParkZen on a pilot project designed to help members of the campus community find available parking spaces. As we explore solutions to our parking challenges, your feedback will help us determine whether ParkZen is useful for the Bucknell community. In order for ParkZen to be effective and reliable, we need as many drivers as possible to download and use the app. Questions about ParkZen may be directed to publicsafety@bucknell.edu or asked at one of our upcoming parking forums. Please watch for communication with more information on the pilot period dates and links to download the app.

Spring Break Safety Tips
Whether you are heading to a far-off destination or just going home to spend time with family, the information below may be useful to you as you prepare to depart Bucknell for a week.
- As you prepare to leave, lock your doors, unplug appliances, and make sure you share your travel plans with someone you trust.
- If you are traveling, avoid carrying large amounts of cash. Keep debit and credit cards secured.
- If you attend events over break, keep track of where the exits are located and be aware of your surroundings. Don’t stand near or climb temporary structures, as they could collapse.
- There’s safety in numbers, so try your best to stay with your group.
- College students can be at risk of pickpockets and robbery, so ensure you stay alert and aware of your surroundings.
